The Three Pillars to a Successful Team

A Brief Overview

The goal of the pillar methodology is to help you build a foundation that’s flexible, scalable, and tailored to your leadership style. This approach is to organize the key elements of team success into three distinct categories, or pillars. These pillars serve as a framework for both new and experienced managers to stay grounded, focused, and effective.

Individuals

This pillar focuses on the individual contributors who make up the team. We’ll explore three key areas that drive high performance and personal growth. Together, these form what we call The Building Blocks of High Employee Performance.

Boundaries

This pillar defines the parameters within which the team operates. It includes three core areas that shape how we work, communicate, and collaborate. These boundaries help establish clarity, consistency, and trust across the team.

Objective

This pillar centers on purpose. What are we trying to achieve? What is our vision? What is our mission? And most importantly, why are we doing this? By grounding our work in a clear and compelling objective, we align individual efforts with collective impact.

The above image depicts the three pillars that provide support to a successful team.  All are required, yet each consist of their own unique building blocks that will be even further broken down into actionable and traceable tasking.
